ALL PLAYERS ARE ASKED TO BE AT THE COURSE 1/2 HOUR BEFORE SHOTGUN START.  FAILURE TO BE IN YOUR CART WHEN COURSE EMPLOYEE TAKES YOU TO YOUR STARTING HOLE WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION - No questions asked. This is a competition with payouts, if you choose to enjoy your share of adult beverages at the Mohawk Bar in between rounds and/or forget to set an alarm and miss the shotgun start, you will be DQ’d.

COMPETITION FORMATS

#1) INDIVIDUAL 36 HOLE NET FULL HANDICAP: Players must play & finish at least 2 complete 18 hole rounds (36 holes total) to qualify for the individual overall purse. Your Best 2 rounds to par with full course handicap will be used. There will be payouts for TOP 5 players.

#1B) 2 PERSON TEAM BEST BALL FULL HANDICAP during Saturdays round at Plumas Pines. You will be playing your own ball for this full round. 1 net best score each hole of the two player team will be added up for your team score.  Elect a score keeper amongst the 4 prior to teeing off.  Sign and attest and turn your completed card into scoring committee before the Horserace.

#2) 4B’s 7 HOLE HORSE RACE:  Saturday PM round at Plumas Pines

PLUMAS Pines Holes #1-7

All Teams will be divided into 2 flights based on combined total handicap/index of the team. Both flights will play to a scratch handicap once flighted. Format is pure alternate shot with teams deciding who plays first on hole #1, alternating each shot until ball is holed. Although flighted, the entire group will play together playing ready golf up to the green. Once all groups are on the green, teams closest to the hole putt out alternating putts until holed. The team with the highest score is eliminated each hole. All ties for high score in each flight will chip off at a designated predetermined spot by the Tournament committee with the continuance of alternate shot in mind. If player A putts out, player B will hit the chip.  The chip off is blind to all participating teams with closest to the hole moving on to the next hole. Furthest away in the chip off drops out of the horse race and becomes gallery the rest of the way.  Teams advancing to the next hole tee off with the player whom did not hit the final shot/putt the previous hole regardless of chip off (ie. player involved in chip off hits the tee shot if they advance).

The team buy in is $20 per team with winner takes all in each flight.

7-Hole event is based on the theory we will have 8 teams in each flight dropping out 1 group per hole played. In the event we have more than 8 teams in either flight, after hole number 1 is played, we only carry 7 teams to hole 2, meaning we might dump 2 or 3 teams out of each flight after hole 1. This means teams with the 2nd highest score might find themselves in a chip off in order to continue.

#3) ON COURSE COMPETITIONS EACH ROUND

#3A) CLOSEST TO THE PIN “on the green” ON ALL PAR 3's:   Whitehawk - 3, 7, 11, 16  |   Plumas Pines - 3, 7, 11, 15  |  Grizzly - 2, 6, 14, 16

#3B) LONG DRIVE “in fairway” HOLES:   Whitehawk- hole #15  |  Plumas Pines - hole #13   |  Grizzly - hole #8

3A&3B provide 5 separate payouts per course, paying first place only in all instances. Closest must be on the green and Longest must be in the fairway.

COURSE RULES & MODIFICATIONS

1.      Men will play WHITE TEES (Plumas Whites, 3-Whitehawk) and COPPER (Grizzly), Women will play one tee box in front of men for all competitions.

2.      PACE OF PLAY MODIFICATION - All white OB stakes at all courses will be played as lateral hazards. So, hit OB 1, go to point of entry drop penalty 2, hit 3rd shot, continue until holed. Understand your place on the golf course is directly behind the group in front of you, not in front of the group behind you. It is your job to police pace of play of other group pairings.

3.       PLUMAS HOLE 18 RULE - Exception to playing white stakes as red stakes:

Hole #18

Within 10ft of OB line play directly back to 18 fairway-no penalty.

Beyond 10ft.  Plays as lateral- play line directly back to fairway-two club length from OB line-one stroke penalty. Advancing up #12 will result with max score double par.

4.       MAXIMUM SCORE ON ANY HOLE - The most any player can take on any given hole is a score that is double par except for the par 5 max is 9. (ie: par 3, nothing higher than 6, par 4–8, par 5–9) so if a player doesn’t finish a hole, they get twice the par of that hole.

5.       We are playing the ball down according to USGA rules and guidelines. Do not ‘bump’ the ball or hit mulligans.

6.      **Scoring**

  • Use the official scorecard provided.

  • One person will keep all scores from the group and EVERY PLAYER IN GROUP (4 signatures) is to sign and attest that card upon completion of the round. Ok for group to determine the score keeper.

  • Use Rule 3 in the case of any holes not played or unfinished.

  • Elected Score keeper from each group is responsible for turning in scorecard to 4B Commitee.

  • Best ball scorecards should be turned in immediately after the round to 4B Committee.

  • No unofficial scorecards will be accepted.

  • Do not leave your group until you’ve signed the official card.

  • Players who shoot 6 strokes below stated handicap in one round may be reviewed by the scoring committee and appropriate adjustments could be made.

  • Scoring and scoreboard will be posted at the 4B BBQ after Plumas Pines and final results. Doubt as to procedure while on course - Any questions should be directed to the 4B Committee prior to any round of golf or between rounds.  Any question on how to proceed, announce to group & play a 2nd ball for the hole and rules committee will make the ruling when question is proposed, otherwise your foursome should decide how to proceed. Do not let this issue affect pace of play.

Hit it & Get it.
